This is a short little video of my Spring Break trip to San Francisco. My roommates and I went for a total of five days and stayed at a hotel next to Fishermans Wharf! We went exploring and did so many wonderful things such as walk on the Golden Gate Bridge, Union Sq, drink LOTS of coffee, saw the view from Twin Peaks, visited the Haight-Ashbury district, and more!

I am officially 20 years old.
“She promises herself adventure, new places, different views, a chance to get lost. She infuses her day with newness and wonder. She brings a camera everywhere, notices the little things, gets a cup of coffee at a different cafe, takes the long way home. She discovers so much unexpected joy. She begins to love the journey.”
From a book I bought at a lovely shop in San FranciscoSPRING BREAK 2012!!! SAN FRANCISCO BOUND :) THEME OF THE WEEK: BE BOLD.
That was a year ago?
A year ago from now I was visiting Biola for the first time…it was my birthday and I walked on that plane as an act of spontaneity not knowing what the other side of the country had to offer me. Turns out it had a lot. Im sitting here in the Library with my roommate Melanie completely in shock at how fast the time went by and how long ago Spring 2011 feels like. God has completely turned my life around in circles twice over from a year ago! Lately, I have been finding myself praising God for giving me the opportunity to transfer to Biola. That is one thing I will FOREVER be thankful for :) When flying back home from my trip to Biola, I felt this overwhelming comfort, and the day that I came back to my apartment I found my acceptance letter in the mailbox. After a couple phone calls and emails, I was enrolled at Biola University. Fast forward a year to this moment….I can see ways that God has provided and blessed me in this life that I was blind to before. Because of this, I continue to run fast and hard after God, and fall more and more in love with who he is every day.
Wow, I would have to say my 19th year has been pretty epic in the most unexpected way! It all started with Bible Bridge (shout out!!!) as a foundation laid down before me with new knowledge and new best friends. One of the most unexpected happenings in my life was to be asked to be an officer for the Biola Adventure Club, which one of my best friends had decided to start on campus. That club has helped shape my life to be one of adventure, exploration, and taking chances, all within the beauty of Gods creation. My leadership skills have been tested and strengthened as a result of working with my two best friends to start this club. Within my job it has been a blessing to pray for Biola’s alumni and raise scholarship funds with an epic group of co-workers! My most recently life advancement has been training to be a Student Orientation Leader for the Fall! I have never been more excited to introduce people to Biola in my life and to show them all the opportunities here.
Lately, between class, homework, Adventure Club, work, SOS training, and Mock Rock, my life has been pretty crazy. However, I can definitely feel that all of these things are happening in my life for a reason, and that some awesome people have been brought into my life as a result. So I would have to say this year at Biola has been great, and hey its totally not over yet! I have Spring Break in San Francisco and Mock Rock soon approaching. #ReasonsILoveBiola

Hollaaaa
Hi everyone! The past few weeks have been extremely eventful for me. Now that the semester is in full swing, all of my assignments have been piling up! Lovely right? My Theo II class has definitely been the most challenging because of these intense projects that we have to hand in every few weeks. However, God has definitely been showing me a lot in that and stretching my thoughts. My favorite classes are definitely Sociology of Globalization and Speech! As of right now, academics are going pretty well.
Now for the fun stuff! Living in California, as most of you know, has been an experience of a lifetime for me :) There are so many exciting opportunities awaiting each and everyone who lives here if only you take a chance and take advantage of them. This weekend is jam packed with fun activities!!! Friday I have the opportunity to take a tour of the Los Angeles Dream Center and learn a little bit about the programs that they run there. Even more awesome is that my church back home created the New England Dream Center! It will be so interesting to compare. Saturday is Adventure Club’s first official adventure to the Hollywood Sign and I am really excited to meet our new members and get my hiking shoes broken in. Sunday I will most likely go to church in Hollywood and then a filming of So You Think You Can Dance!! I feel so blessed to have each of these opportunities.
Some more exciting news: I am officially in training to be an Orientation Leader (SOS) at Biola :) This means that I will be helping to transition incoming students in the Fall. The thing that I am most looking forward to is building relationships with them and showing all the amazing things our school has to offer! PLUS my staff is a pretty epic group of people :) Wicked excited to get to know them.
The past three weeks have been a test of resistance….meaning resistance not to log on to Facebook. Hehe. I had realized how much of my time is spent on Facebook, on my phone, etc. and decided to chill a little bit. In the meantime, I have been taking this time to work on my relationship with God, as well as my friends. I must say, God has really moved me in multiple ways!
Adventure Club President/VP at a typical Biola Adv Club meeting :)

My pretty much typical Sunday night going to Singspo! :)
What am I thinking?
I’m thinking this week can only be better than the last.
I’m thinking Ecclesia in Hollywood should be pronounced my California home church.
I’m thinking these are the best tie dye shirts I have ever made.
I’m thinking not having a Facebook temporarily is really awesome.
I’m thinking I miss my puppy Jacoby.
I’m thinking of how long it is until I find out if I will be an orientation leader or not.
I’m thinking my first paycheck of the semester will be dopee.
I’m thinking true forgiveness is only something that can be done before God.
I’m thinking about what my daily blessing will be today.
I’m thinking about how amazing my friends are to comfort me in times of need.
I’m thinking about how I shouldn’t be still thinking about something.
I’m thinking my loft is pretty awesome.
I’m thinking I want to get off campus and go to the beach. Or hiking.
Random thoughts.
